Canada’s Most Beautiful Bouquet

I was one of 21 florists who were asked to contribute to Canada’s most beautiful bouquets for 2013, an online feature for Wedding Bells. My amazing supplier Ryan at Mt. Newton Floral Wholesale got in some Italian poppies and I knew I had to incorporate them into the design. They are very delicate and can be hard to work with but the end result is worth it! I was given base hues of grey and white to work in and asked to create something beautiful. I used the best flowers of spring to create a soft palate of pinks, pale yellows, touches of silvery greys and warming corals create a feeling of contemporary romance in this bouquet. You can see peonies, garden roses, jasmine, freesia, stock, sweet peas, lily of the valley, Italian poppies, ranunculus, dusty miller and columbine flowers. Photographed by Kim Kalyn Photography.
