Kelsey + Colin

How sweet, right? Kelsey and Colin are such a lovely couple, and they tied the knot on a stunning July day on the Saanich Peninsula. They embraced the incredible scenery we are so lucky to have on Vancouver Island and chose two very romantic and rustic locations: their ceremony was held at the beautiful Starling Lane Vineyard and their reception was at Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse. Our job was incredibly fun—to work with the most beautiful backdrops imaginable and ensure they dripped with shades of blush, peach, creams and pops of coral.

We has so much fun getting creative with this flower garland, which we hung on our mantle for the ceremony.

The bride and her girls getting ready to walk down the aisle (and all brilliantly photographed by the lovely Rob and Julia from AMERIS.)

The cocktail hour and dinner were catered by The London Chef.

The unreal OBrien family performed and set the mood. Check them out in person sometime if you haven’t seen them perform yet; you won’t be disappointed: https://www.facebook.com/theobrienfamily.

As a surprise to the couple (we like to sneak in unexpected decor elements to go above-and-beyond where we can), we hung beautiful lanterns.

Kelsey, who was a dream to work with, had her hair styled by Conscious Hair, and makeup artistry was by Mel Baird. And she stunned in the beautiful Truvelle dress from The White Peony Bridal Boutique.

Kelsey and Colin’s big day was planned and executed by the couple in collaboration with our friends at French Kiss Events. The details were extraordinary—every guest even had a personalized menu and tags on napkins—and the all paper goods and branding by Tuktu Paper Co. Specialty furniture was provided from Bash Specialty.

It was the perfect way to frame the dessert table. The couple also rented our rustic bar and matching cocktail tables, which suited their locations perfectly. The delicious desserts are from the one-and-only Ruth & Dean.

These party animals didn’t stop until the last possible minute. It was like a high school reunion for many of the guests and they danced (thanks to DJ Ron Larson) and partied until we turned the lights on.

XO, Kelsey and Colin. Thank you for trusting us with your special day. We had a blast.
