Verbena Floral Design Inc. is a collaboration born of two creative spirits, Jenny Dagg and Vanessa Watters. We both have a passion for flowers, plants, design, beautiful things and gathering them all together to create magic. Besides being creative, we also share a humorous side and can often be seen in fits of laughter and overheard poking good humoured fun at each other.
Each year we seem to organically add to the scope of what we do and the services we provide. Over the past few years we have worn many hats; event management, wedding planners, on site decorators, garden and outdoor pot designers. After providing these services on the side to many of our clients, we have decided to officially offer these services as a natural extension of what we do and love. And so we now offer the following:
We personally select each bloom that we use in our designs and go to great lengths to find unusual varieties and colours. We search out the very best and work closely with local growers and wholesalers. From the birthday bouquet to the big events, our hands have been on each and every bloom, and we have chosen the perfect container for your design.
Whether you need a full scale plan from the beginning to the end of your event, or if you just need someone there on the big day to oversee all the details, we can assist you in all aspects of planning. We bring your vision to life by helping with all the details that make your day unique and bringing all your ideas together to create a beautifully cohesive event.
We have personally collected things we love …. vintage tables and containers, modern pedestals and urns, a retro art deco podium, cast iron items to name a few, and we want to share them with you. We are always adding to our collections so we will keep you up to date in a new rental item section on our website.
Jenny has extensive knowledge of perennials, shrubs and grasses from her previous work as a garden designer and we are now offering design and planting services for pots, patios and full scale gardens. We will have pictures up soon of some of the designs we have been working on.
That pretty sums up what is happening at Verbena. We continue to grow as a business as does our passion for all things funny, creative and beautiful.
